About the tour

The tour fee is not included in your registration fee.  You must register separately for the tour.  Tours provide a great networking opportunity! The day begins with a bus ride from Marriott Marquee Queen’s Park Hotel to the ancient capital city of Ayuthaya, Thailand’s capital from 1351 to 1767 AD. 

This tour combines essential things to do in Thailand including a Tuk Tuk ride, Elephant Ride, and Long Tailed boat ride.

Time Location
07:30 hrs Meet at Hotel Lobby of JW Marriott Marquis
08:00 hrs Depart from Marriott Marquee Queen’s Park Hotel and go to Ayutthaya by bus (It may take around 1 ½ hrs depending on traffic conditions).

Stop at Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, created by King Prasat Thong in 1632 and later renovated in the reign of King Rama V in Western, Chinese, and Thai styled architecture.

Please be on time.  The tour coach will depart at 08:00 hrs sharp and will not wait for any latecomers.  Note that Ayuthaya is located 100 kms north of Bangkok so will not be possible for latecomers to join.
11:30 hrs International Buffet lunch at a local restaurant (includes food, coffee and tea, softdrinks, and water).
  Continue to the pier to catch long-tailed boats to explore the Chao Phraya River.  Disembark at Wat Chai Watthanaram, a monastery located opposite a South West corner of an historical island on the other side of the Chao Phraya River.
Take a local Tuk Tuk (4 Persons per one Tuk Tuk) to Ayutthaya Elephant Camp for elephant riding (2 persons per one elephant), approximately 20 minutes.
Visit Wat Mahathat Temple by Tuk Tuk to see the head of a Buddha image in a tree (one of the amazing attractions of Ayutthaya).
The last stops are Wat Pra Sri Sanphet (Old Palace) and Vihara Mongkhon Bophit, which was the most important temple in the Ayutthaya Kingdom.
Depart Ayuthaya for Bangkok.
17:00 hrs Arrive back to Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel.

  • Ladies: No revealing tops, no breasts/cleavage showing, no tummy showing, shoulders must be covered and preferably skirt or shorts below the knee.  Shoes – note that you will be required to remove shoes when entering some temples.
  • Men: No singlets.  No T-Shirts with rude slogans.  Jeans/shorts should not have holes.  Shoes – note that you will be required to remove shoes when entering some temples.
  • WEATHER CONDITIONS IN JUNE: Average High = 34°C (93°F).  Average Low = 26°C (79°F).  It rains on average 16 days in June, however this is usually during the evening.
