Pre Conference Information

ONSITE REGISTRATION

Everyone must complete the onsite registration to obtain the conference bag which contains essential conference materials such as a delegate badge (to be worn at all functions & breakfast), a conference agenda, and other useful information.

Please do your onsite registration and pick up your conference bags at the following times and location:

Friday, 1st June 2018, between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm
Grand Elysee Hamburg Hotel
@Pastry Tunnel, Ground Floor

If you are attending the TOUR, please meet at Grand Foyer, Ground Floor (in front of hotel’s breakfast restaurant) on Friday, 1st June, at 8:00 am Coach will depart at 8:30 am sharp, please be on time!

GETTING TO GRAND ELYSEE HAMBURG HOTEL FROM AIRPORT

The easiest way is by taxi and takes about 25 - 35 minutes from the airport depending on the traffic. The taxi fare is approximately EUR 25-35.

Note that Airport transfers are NOT provided by WCA.

PLEASE SETTLE ALL PAYMENTS BEFORE ARRIVING

For those who have already registered, but still have not settled their invoices, especially ones for hotel arrangements, please do so immediately. Your hotel reservation will be considered as tentative until we receive payment for your rooms. If you have not settled payment before your arrival in HAMBURG then your room will be subject to availability at the time of checking-in. Please note that on-site, we accept CASH only so please settle any outstanding payments at our Registration Desk.

ONE-ON-ONE SCHEDULE

Please ensure that you pick up the most updated One-on-One Schedule each morning before the meetings start.

The One-on-One meeting scheduler will first close on Friday, 1st June at 9:00 pm and then re-open as per the following:

Important: Out of respect for all delegates’ privacy, we will not reveal information about someone else’s One-on-One schedule.

If you would like to meet someone or reschedule/cancel your One-on-One meeting with someone, please contact our registration desk. We will provide you with a “One-on-One Communication Sheet” which will allow you to leave messages for certain delegates to be delivered by our staff.

REMINDERS:

  1. Please wear your badge at all times.  Badges are essential - you will not be admitted to ANY function areas without it. Please also do not lose your badge because a replacement will only be issued on production of a passport or government ID card.  A business card or other forms of ID will not be accepted. 
  2. Please show up on time for all your meeting appointments. If you cannot make it to a meeting appointment for any reason, then update your meeting appointment on WCA application or please have the courtesy to inform your meeting partner by contacting our staff to fill out a “One on One Communication Form”.
  3. Bring sufficient business cards! There will be nearly 200 attendees this year, and you will want to meet everyone!
