Detailed Itinerary

The Red Double-deckers have been offering sightseeing tours in Hamburg since 1978 – first with the Hamburg Hummelbahn vehicles and then with the famous and well-loved open-top double-decker buses that are today part and parcel of the Hamburg city landscape. Open-top tours in particular are a special thrill in all seasons and offer fantastic all-round views from a height of 4 metres. The mission of the Red Double-deckers is as simple as it is clever: To tour Hamburg is to experience Hamburg.

With much charm, certified tour guides accompany the high-quality city tours and make sightseeing a very special experience – always with live commentary and always original, entertaining and informative. The guide speaks fluently  English and in addition, we offer 8 further languages via headsets through a GPS-controlled audio system: French, Russian, Italian, Spanish, Danish, Japanese, Chinese and Arabic.

The Landungsbrücken, the breath-taking harbour, the historical Speicherstadt,
the modern HafenCity, the famous Reeperbahn, the 'Michel', the Alster, the Hamburg town hall, the museums, the magnificent villas along the gentel Elbchaussee,
the Blankeneser Treppenviertel, Planten un Blomen – the list of sights in Hamburg is long and diverse. You'll discover the most beautiful side of the city with the sightseeing tours from the Red Double-deckers. This tour will last about two hours and will end at the new ultra landmark of Hamburg:

The Elbphilarmonie:

Immediately after the opening in 2016 it was clear the Elbphilarmonie is one of the top concert halls in the world and this not just because of the sound. The architecture is extraordinary. We will visit the so-called “Plaza“. After that we will have lunch at
a restaurant directly located at the waterfront, the "Landungsbrücken".

From there we will enter a typical old fashioned Hamburg barge, called "Barkasse":

This boat is chartered just for the group an we will enjoy about two hours boat trip, not only through the port, being one of the biggest in the world, but also through
the historical Speicherstadt, being a UNESCO world heritage site.

After having finalized the boat trip, the bus will bring the group back to Grand Elysee Hamburg Hotel.
